Summer holidays in Tux, Zillertal
Once the snow has gone, the hiking trails start at the front door. Higher up the valley, the Hintertux Glacier stays open for skiing all summer.
Hiking in Tux
Around 350 km of hiking trails cross the Tux-Finkenberg area, from gentle walks along the valley to hikes up to mountain pastures and high-alpine routes in the Zillertal Alps. Trails start right outside the apartment.
Hiking in Tux with children
Not every walk has to end on a summit. The valley paths around Tux suit younger legs, and the summer cable cars in the region take families up the mountain without the long climb.
Summer skiing on the Hintertux Glacier
The Hintertux Glacier, about 7 km from the apartment, is open for skiing all year round, summer included. The cable cars also run in summer, so you can go up just for the views of the Zillertal Alps.
Mountain biking and e-bikes
Around 150 km of routes for mountain bikes and e-bikes run through Tux-Finkenberg. They range from easy rides for beginners to tough climbs, with the Zillertal Alps in view most of the way.
Zillertal Activcard
The Zillertal Activcard covers the summer cable cars in the region, plus other extras, and comes as a 3, 6, 9 or 12-day card. It is an easy way to reach high trails without climbing every metre on foot.
